Connected Devices

In IoT, a connected device is any physical asset that is part of an IoT service. These assets are connected in that they can communicate to IoT edge devices and the IoT service running (perhaps, in the cloud). Connected devices may be natively IoT-enabled or may be included in the IoT service using edge gateways.

Connected devices provide sensor data and may be able to take action under remote control using actuators. Cheetah Networks Pulse Agents™ can be embedded on connected devices that allow for software agents. The Pulse Edge Compute (PEC™) is a connected device.
