Edge Gateway

A device that commonly resides between a connected device and a network operator’s aggregation network. Edge gateways provide a variety of functions, from managing connected devices to converting various communication protocols between devices and the cloud as required, providing edge compute, adapting legacy devices to allow them to participate in an IoT service, and more. Edge gateways can host Cheetah Networks Pulse Agent™  if they provide support for software agents. A Cheetah Networks PEC™ can be co-located with an edge gateway.
