Industry Veterans join Cheetah Networks Board
Cheetah Networks Inc. strengthens its Board with the addition of two seasoned executives and entrepreneurs, Mr. Jacky Chen and Mr. Robert Williams.
Jacky Chen
Jacky is a General Partner of the StarForge Fund of Archangel Network of Funds and the Managing Director (Canada) of Wharton Alumni Angels. Through his participation in Golden Triangle Angel Networks and Wharton Alumni Angels, he has invested in many emerging growth technology firms and built an investment portfolio of fifty start-up companies in Canada and the United States. His investments are focused on B2B companies with disruptive technologies in enterprise software, data sciences, advanced manufacturing, and health technologies.
Jacky has acquired concrete business experiences as a successful founder in the start-up ecosystem and an executive of Fortune 500 companies for over two decades. His remarkable accomplishments range from building startups from scratch to leading a billion-dollar enterprise technology business. The unique journey has shaped Jacky’s outstanding of invest in early startups.
Jacky holds master’s degrees in E.E. and MBA, and he graduated from CEIBS and The Wharton Business School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Robert Williams
Robert is the former Chief Executive Officer of Redline Communications Group and, since leaving Redline, provides management advisory services to CEOs of technology firms through his firm Peyton Lloyd Inc. Robert is an accomplished executive with strong strategic and operational leadership. As CEO, he repositioned and grew Redline as a global supplier of wireless telecom equipment. Robert’s extensive business experience in mobile computing, security and private wireless networks provides in-depth knowledge of the IoT and 5G telecom sectors. Robert has served as a member of the Board of several private and public firms, including Redline. Robert brings his global experience and a strong network of relationships in the oil & gas, mining and utility verticals to assist Cheetah in its future growth.
Roberts is a graduate of the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
