(Fifth Generation Wireless) A set of mobile communications standards describing the services and architecture of a mobile network, including the devices through to the cloud. 5G is intended to allow vastly more devices to connect, and for devcies to be served at Gbps speeds. The 5G design includes IoT use cases in the form of ultra-reliable, low-latency communication (URLLC) and massive machine type communication (MMTC) requirements. The range and characteristics of IOT use case is yet to be discovered. The radio-access architecture of 5G is significantly more complex than that of 4G and may exhibit interesting network performance characteristics. Cheetah Networks PulseView™ provides the means for network operators to know how their emerging IOT offerings perform from day one and through their entire life cycle. |
